Climate Change and Culture:
two perspectives on a Global Challenge

COP30 in Belem saw an historic advance cultural heritage in climate policies within the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA). The first section addresses the built heritage energy and environmental improvement with a roundtable of 8 high level experts that will discuss policies, research, strategy and implementation challenging widespread stereotypes and misconceptions within a joint adaptation and mitigation perspective.

In the second section AAC Platform presents a talk with Camilla Boemio and the projection "Albatross II" realized by Mathew Emmett, the latest iteration of an internationally exhibited research-led video installation investigating Avian Influenza as a symptom of ecological degradation. The work examines the relationship between environmental destruction, industrial agriculture and pandemic emergence. The project demonstrates how artistic and architectural research can contribute to global dialogue on climate change, biodiversity loss and planetary health.
